Information we collect
Information you give us
- Booking a discovery call. When you book through our scheduling tool (Calendly), we receive your name, email address, any phone number you provide, your answers to the booking questions, and the time you chose.
- Calling or emailing us. We receive your phone number or email address and anything you tell us about your business.
- Becoming a client. We collect the business and account information needed to deliver our services and to invoice you.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site: pages viewed, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, how you arrived (for example, a search or an ad), and actions such as clicking a call or booking button.
- Advertising measurement. We use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure the results of our ads and to show ads to people who have visited our site. It records events such as page views, phone-button clicks and completed bookings.
- Call tracking. We use CallRail to show a tracking phone number on our site. When you call it, CallRail records call details such as your phone number, the time and length of the call, and which page or ad led to the call.
- Security and hosting. Our site is delivered through Cloudflare and hosted by Namecheap. These providers process technical data such as your IP address and browser information to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
These tools use cookies and similar technologies. A cookie is a small file stored by your browser. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them, although we won’t be able to measure your visit.
How we use your information
- To schedule and hold discovery calls, answer your questions, and prepare proposals.
- To deliver services to clients, including reporting, and to send invoices.
- To understand which pages, searches and ads bring visitors and enquiries, and to improve the site.
- To show relevant ads to people who have visited our site.
- To keep the site secure and to meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We will only email you about our services if you have contacted us or booked a call, and every marketing email will include a way to unsubscribe.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run our business, and only for the purposes above:
- Google (Analytics, Search Console, Workspace services)
- Meta Platforms (Pixel and advertising)
- CallRail (call tracking)
- Calendly (call scheduling)
- Microsoft (business email)
- Cloudflare and Namecheap (website delivery and hosting)
Some of these providers store and process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business.
Your choices
- Google Analytics: install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Meta ads: manage ad settings in your Meta ad preferences, or opt out of interest-based ads through the Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada or aboutads.info (US).
- Cookies: block or clear cookies in your browser. Browsers that send a Global Privacy Control signal can also limit ad tracking.
- Email: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or email us.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for advertising (in some US states this is called opting out of “sharing” or targeted advertising). You can also withdraw consent you have given us, subject to legal or contractual limits. To make a request, email [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days and may need to confirm your identity first. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.
If you are not satisfied with our response, residents of Canada can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
How long we keep it
We keep booking and enquiry information for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and client records for as long as we work together plus the period required for tax and accounting purposes (generally seven years in Canada). Analytics data is kept according to our Google Analytics retention setting. Call-tracking and advertising data is kept according to each provider’s retention settings.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and reputable service providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the authorities of a breach where the law requires.
Children
Our site and services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or the law change. We will post the new version here with a new effective date.
